OSRAM Opto Semiconductors is adding a white LED to its Golden Dragon ARGUS family. It combines proprietary ThinGaN (indium gallium nitride) technology for brightness and uniformity with the patented ARGUS lens -- specially designed for high efficiency backlighting and illumination -- and the company’s chip level conversion (CLC) technology. Each package contains one HBLED with a thin phosphor coating over the emission area, applied at the wafer level.

Fujitsu Components America introduced a 17" (diagonal) product for the growing retail kiosk market. The four-wire, 17" model is the largest in the company’s standard resistive touch panel line. Other applications include desktop touch monitors, Point of Sale, and industrial controls. Fujitsu Components America expanded its resistive touch-panel offering with the introduction of a 4.3¨ (diagonal) film-glass panel for both finger and stylus-based applications. The four-wire device fits Sharp and NEC 4.3¨ LCDs commonly used in handheld applications including popular game devices, and fixed applications suitable for small LCD screens. LED Clusters Directly Replace Incandescents

LEDtronics announced the R30 LED Reflector spotlight bulb series. These direct replacements for incandescent bulbs combine use standard 25mm Edison bases and are available in 15°, 20°, 30°, 40°, and 95° angles using 120V AC.
