AMS Technologies introduced EXALOS AG’s line of 840 nm superluminescent light emitting diodes (SLEDs) that typically exhibit 5 mW of optical power in a single mode fiber and a 48 nm, 3 dB spectral bandwidth. The standard light sources are delivered in a 14-pin butterfly housing with a monitor diode and a fixed connection/angled physical contact connector. The parts conform to the Bellcor GR-468-CORE standard, and they can be integrated into OCT systems, data transfer units and fiber optic sensors for civil structure monitoring as well as for aerospace navigation.
