ec912ic287-webThe CMNTVS12V 12-V Transient Voltage Suppressor (from Central Semiconductor) can handle up to 18 W of peak power and an ESD voltage of 8 kV. Designed to protect static sensitive data interfaces against ESD damage, the Voltage Suppressor is intended for small portable hand held electronic devices such as cell phones, digital cameras, memory card ports, music players, or any device with an active data port. The SOT-953 surface mount case purportedly utilizes 61 percent less board space compared to four individual SOD-923 devices and has a nominal profile of 0.45 mm. 5.6 V and 6.8 V versions may also be requested. From $0.12 each for 8,000 pcs on 7” tape and reel.
