Presented as the first devices of their type, the FCAS20DN60BB and FCAS30DN60BB SRM-SPM power modules from Fairchild can drive two-phase switched-reluctance motors (SRM) in small motor applications such as vacuum cleaners. The 45 x 28-mm SIP packaged devices integrate two HVICs, one LVIC, four NPT IGBTs, four fast recovery diodes, two bootstrap diodes, and a thermistor in a single package. Protection features include a 1500VRMS/min isolation voltage rating, under-voltage lock-out. and short circuit protection. From less than $17 each in low volumes.
