Lithium-ion Cell Touts High Discharge Rates for Medical Apps and Hand-held tools

Lithium ion cellPanasonic has introduced a high-rate lithium ion cell, the CGR18650CH. According to the company, the cell’s Nickel Manganese-based cathode material delivers higher discharge rates and better energy density and voltage than comparative cells. These cells are suitable for multi-cell applications. Specific features include a high discharge rate capability of up to 10 A, 2,250 mAH nominal capacity, high energy density and voltage, a wide operating temperature range and exceptional cycle life.
