USB to Serial Converters Offer Secure Connections

Advantech USB-4604B and USB-4604BMUSB v1.1 and v2.0 compliant, Advantech’s USB-4604B and USB-4604BM USB to 4-port RS-232 and USB to 4-port RS-232/422/485 converters provide a novel type-B USB connector with thumbscrews to ensure connection despite vibration or inadvertent tugging on the cable. Both devices support serial communication rates of up to 921.6 kbps, and the USB-4604BM has software-selectable RS-232/422/485 settings for each port and automatic RS-485 send data control.  Both models include 16KV electrostatic discharge (ESD) and utilize standard DB9 male connectors.
