DC-DC Converters Exhibit 3,000-VDC I/O Isolation

Yielding I/O isolation from 1,600 to 3,000 VDC, Aimtec’s AM3G-Z Series of single and dual output DC-DC converters have output ranges of 3.3, 5, 12, and 15 VDC and output power choices of 1, 2, or 3 W. The 22 × 9.5 × 12-mm SIP8-packaged devices have 2:1 input ranges from 9 to 18 VDC, 18 to 36 VDC, and 36 to 72 VDC with efficiency rates of up to 84%. The RoHS-compliant converters include output trim function (±10%) and remote ON/OFF control with in an operating temperature range from -40°C to 71°C and to 85°C with derating. The components are appropriate for unregulated input voltage applications such as data communication equipment, mobile battery operated equipment, and distributed power systems, amongst others.
