High Temperature Encoder Modules Enable Motor-Size Reduction

Avago AEDT-9140Designed to enable size reduction in industrial motors, Avago’s three-channel high temperature optical incremental AEDT-9140 encoder module series fit directly onto industrial motors. The RoHS-compliant modules include a lensed LED source and a detector IC enclosed in a plastic package that can be used in industrial printers, plotters, tape drives, machine tools and industrial and factory automation equipment.  The TTL-compatible AEDT-9140 series operate from a single 5-V supply and has a two-channel quadrature output with index pulse, no signal adjustment, and 100 to 1000 CPR. Priced from $18.50, the operating temperature range for these devices is from -40° to 115°C.
