Multi-Sensor Interface Delivers Low Power

ZMD America introduced its Multi-Sensor Interface Circuit (MUSic) family of semiconductors for microcontroller-based consumer, medical and industrial systems that require multiple sensor control. The product family is designed for a variety of markets and applications, especially those with multiple sensors where a microcontroller is the heart of the system. These include different wearable medical instruments; mobile and consumer devices for sports and outdoor activities requiring a combination of data offered by altimeters, barometers and navigation functions; and as industrial systems where measurement requires multiple sensors such as flow monitors or scales. All members of this product family incorporate an analog front-end, including a flexible programmable gain amplifier, several analog and digital filters and a power-optimized analog sampling architecture.
