Glass Encapsulated Thermistor Designed Without VariationsMeasurement Specialties now offers a glass encapsulated thermistor, the 55000, but with pricing closer to epoxy-coated models by eliminating the variation normally involved in manual assembly. Features of the MEAS 55000 include .012°C shift at 100°C after 10 months, or ±0.10°C over temperature range from 0°C to 70°C; hermetic seal for moist environments; operating temperature range of -80°C to +200°C; a two-wire connection for simplicity; and resistance from 2252ohms to 30Kohms at 25°C. Applications include precision applications such as the medical, aerospace, instrumentation, HVACR, and telecommunications fields.
