Compact High-Performance e-SATA Storage Array

MicroNet Technology announces its compact high-performance SR-4 Blackbird SATA RAID array that combines multi-terabyte capacity and uses the full potential of SATA-2 data bandwidth to deliver RAID storage for SMB and SOHO users. Its four SATA drive bays have up to 4 TBs of capacity in a 12-pound device with a desktop footprint that is half the size of a sheet of notebook paper. Using eSATA-300 technology, it has a pure SATA-2 architecture that eliminates interface bridging and protocol conversions. It also leverages the Native Command Queuing feature of SATA-2 technology to further improve data throughput by managing the file transfers, and up to 16 MB of data buffer cache boosts data throughput. Read performance is up to 240 MB/sec., and write performance is up to 200 MB/sec.
