Oscillator features exceptionally-low phase noise, low-power consumption

 The CLX-900 Phase-Locked Oscillator from EM Research operates at 900 MHz and features exceptionally-low phase noise (<-114 dBc/Hz @ 10 KHz).  Phase-locked to a 100 MHz external reference, the unit offers +7 dBm output power and features low power consumption (+5 VDC @ <65 mA).

With its exceptional low phase noise characteristics, the CLX is ideally suited for use as transmitter sources and local oscillators in avionics, radio astronomy and communications, telemetry, ISM-Band applications, and in cellular, WiMAX and LTE base stations.   

 Custom units are available in fixed frequencies from 50 MHz to 4.5 GHz in a surface-mount package of just 0.75” x 0.75” x 0.25”.
