This makes it appropriate for 1U disk arrays requiring a single RAID card. This universal adapter can mount into a limited height space. The PCIe x8 Gen 3 embedded cable adapter (OSS-PCIe-ECA-x8-G3) operates at data transfer speeds up to 64Gb/s and lists for $525 per unit.
