MCU Kit Serves USB Touch/Motion Sensing Apps

Shipped with demo code that enables functionality as a USB mouse or joystick using the accelerometer, Microchip's MPLAB Starter Kit contains all of the materials and software needed to evaluate the PIC18 8-bit MCU family in low-power USB and touch-sensing applications. The kit includes a development board with a 44-pin nanoWatt XLP PIC18F46J50 MCU, mTouch capacitive touch sensing, a Bosch Sensortec BMA150 accelerometer, and 64 KB Flash program memory. The board includes demo application software that enables it to read from the memory card (MSD), or function as a USB mouse or joystick (HID), or simple COM port (CDC). Available for less than $60.
