LEDs Enable Manufacture of Ultra-Thin LCDs

ec910od851a-webMeasuring 3 mm x 3 mm x 1.6 mm, the OSLON LX LEDs from OSRAM Opto are intended for side injection into light guides with a thickness of 2 mm to 4 mm. Light output is typically 75 lm or 90 lm at 350 mA, and the integrated polynomial lens features a beam angle of 125°. The multi-white version (High Color Gamut White) covers 100 percent of the sRGB color space and has a typical light output of 75 lm. The ultra-white version of the LED covers 80 percent of the sRGB color space and has a typical light output of 90 lm.
