Offering over 40 percent space savings compared to a discrete implementation, the TinyBuck FAN21SV06 6A synchronous Buck Regulator from Fairchild Semiconductor incorporates a controller, driver and optimized power MOSFETs in a compact 5mm x 6mm MLP footprint. Operating with up to 95% efficiency, the device features include a sync pin, pre-bias startup, soft start, under voltage lockout, and thermal shutdown, as well as overvoltage and overcurrent protection.
