Image Sensors Solve Applications without PC
Combining the functionality of a photoelectric sensor and a vision sensor, Banner Engineering’s iVu SeriesTG image sensors allow users to apply and support inspections on the factory floor without the use of a PC. The products offer integrated or external lighting (red, blue, green, or infrared options), a 68.5-mm (2.7") LCD touchscreen display, a 752 × 480 CMOS imager, and a software emulator to program the unit offline and load parameters using a USB drive. The devices have remote TEACH, onboard help functions, adjustable focus lenses, onboard USB port, and inspection/system logging. Applications include label inspection, part presence and orientation date/lot code inspection, vial cap inspection, injection molding verification, packaging verification, drilled hole inspection, blister pack inspection, weld nut presence and orientation, feeder bowl inspection, end-of-mail indication, and electronic marking verification.
