Buck Converter Consolidates Power Management Functions

AnalogicTech AAT2789Integrating a 1.7 A buck converter and an 800 mA buck converter, AnalogicTech’s AAT2789 dual buck converter combines power management functions for portable systems powered from a single-cell Lithium-ion battery. The 2-channel synchronous step-down component exhibits an input range from 2.7 V to 5.5 V, externally-adjustable output voltage, a low quiescent current light-load operating mode, peak current mode control, and integrated soft start. The 3 mm × 4 mm Pb-free 16-pin TDFN-packaged converter operates from -40ºC to 85ºC in WLAN products, GPS devices, smart phones, and portable media players. Pricing is $1.79 in 1,000 quantities.
