Modular and Stand-Alone USB Modems

ec7nbbm805a-LRadicom Research, Inc. introduced its line of USB hardware modems that are available in modular and stand-alone configurations. They process data using their own hardware, and they do not use any of the host computer’s processing power. These modems are CDC-compliant, and they are supported by Microsoft CDC modem drivers and Linux CDC-ACM drivers. They work with Linux, Windows and Mac operating systems. The stand-alone V92HU-E modem is enclosed with USB interface and RJ-11 phone jack. The modular V92HU has no on-board jacks, permitting custom jack placement. Each contains a hardware controller, a data pump and an international DAA that does not draw power from the telephone line, but draws low power from the USB port.
