Protective Caps Seal Threaded Connectors

ec7opi805aBinder-USA announces it’s M8 protective caps that ensure a protection rating of IP67 when applied to unmated connectors. These caps are suitable for use in factory automation and process control applications. They feature a PA (polyamide) body, PUR (polyurethane) retaining strap and a nitrile rubber (NBR) seal. Caps for use on cable plugs feature a retaining ring which allows the cap to be easily fixed onto a cable. When caps are correctly mated to a connector, they ensure a protection rating of IP67 so that the connectors are waterproof to a one-meter depth for a 30-minute time period.
