Single-Line ESD Protection Diode

ec77ic309a.jpgVishay Intertechnology, Inc. announces its bidirectional asymmetrical (BiAs) single-line ESD protection diode that offers a low capacitance in the small SOD923 package. With a compact 0.6 mm × 1.0 mm footprint and a low profile of 0.4 mm, the VCUT0714A-02Z is designed to reduce the board space required for ESD protection in portable electronics for mobile computing, mobile communication, consumer, industrial, automotive and medical applications. The device features a low typical capacitance of <8 pF at 0V and a low maximum leakage current. The protection diode offers working ranges from 7V up to +14V, or 14V up to +7V. It provides transient protection for one data line as per IEC61000-4-2 (ESD) at 30 kV (air and contact discharge). It is compliant with RoHS2002/95/EC and WEEE2002/96/EC.
