Don Schneider of Microchip’s Advanced Microcontroller Architecture Division joins me for this edition of 5 Questions. We’ll discuss Microchip Technology’s low-power PIC24F “GA3” family microcontroller (MCU) family which features what is asserted to be industry’s lowest active current for 16-bit Flash MCUs, several flexible new low-power sleep modes, and six DMA channels. The family adds a new low-power sleep mode with RAM retention down to 330 nA and includes VBAT for battery backup of the on-chip Real-Time Clock Calendar.
