Logitech promotes Bracken Darrell to CEO
Logitech International SA said Wednesday that company President Bracken Darrell has become its CEO.
Darrell joined the company in April and Logitech said it had aimed to make him its permanent CEO. Before joining Logitech he was in charge of Whirlpool Corp.'s business in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Chairman Guerrino De Luca has been acting CEO of Logitech since Gerald Quindlen left the company in July 2011. De Luca was also Logitech's CEO from 1998 to 2008.
Logitech is based in Switzerland. Its products include computer accessories, video conferencing equipment and other gadgets.
Logitech shares fell 1 cent to $7.53 in afternoon trading.
