Consumer review service Angie's List on Thursday named J. Mark Howell as its chief operating officer, more than eight months after its former COO left.

Howell, 48, was an executive at technology products distributor Ingram Micro Inc. He will start at Angie's List in March.

Scott Brenton left in April 2012 to work for another company.

Angie's List Inc., based in Indianapolis, is a subscriber service that provides online access to business ratings and reviews. It went public in 2011.
