REDWOOD SHORES, Calif. (AP) — Corporate software maker Oracle Corp. is buying the assets of Skire Inc., a maker of software that helps businesses manage capital and construction projects, adding to its "Primavera" group of project-management tools.
Oracle did not disclose the terms of the agreement, which was announced Thursday.
Skire is privately held and based in Menlo Park, Calif. It says its customers include Bank of America, ConocoPhillips and Qualcomm.
Oracle, which is based in Redwood Shores, Calif., said it expects the deal to close before the end of the year.
