An international information technology and product engineering company is coming to Gainesville.
MindTree Limited announced Tuesday that it has selected the home of the University of Florida for a facility expected to create 400 new jobs over the next five years.
The firm that is co-headquartered in Warren, N.J., and Bangalore, India, plans to spend $2.925 million in capital outlay on the facility.
MindTree selected Gainesville over sites in South Carolina and Alabama.
The Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce and the Council for Economic Outreach worked with local and state partners recruit the firm.
Those partners include the University of Florida, Santa Fe College, the Alachua County School Board and Enterprise Florida, the state's public-private economic development partnership.
