Electronic Components Industry AssociationThe Electronic Components Industry Association (ECIA) presented select members with the association’s highest honors during the recent 2011 Executive Conference in Chicago. Distinguished Service Awards honored four industry executives for their significant contributions to the association. Nominated by the ECIA Board of Directors, these individuals were chosen because of their devotion of time and skill to advance the association and the industry.

ECIA Chairman John Denslinger, Murata Electronics, announced the awards which honored Laird Macomber, Technology Manager at Cornell Dubilier; Max Peel, founder of Contech Research; John Prymac, Director of Advanced Applications in the Advanced Technology Group at KEMET Electronics Corp.; and Glenn Smith, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mouser Electronics. “Each of these dedicated individuals gave generously of their time to the association,” said Denslinger. “Their involvement in ECIA makes certain that it remains a first-class association that continues to advance the industry.”
