Founded by KJ Orth, Managing Director of ancotel and Frank Orlowski, Director Business Development and Marketing of DE-CIX, the cnX events provide an opportunity for international Internet and telecom firms to talk about market trends, establish valuable new business contacts and expand on their personal networks. In 2010, cnX attracted 350 attendees from 35 countries. This year, cnX5 will take place during Frankfurt ISP and Carrier week, which is expected to have a positive impact on the attendance and thus networking opportunities that are available.
“We are honored that Telecom Exchange will be a co-host of the cnX5 event, Europe’s equivalent to our event model concept,” comments Jaymie Scotto Cutaia, Founder & CEO of Jaymie Scotto & Associates. “By working together to offer a neutral networking environment, we hope to drive more business opportunities to global telecom and Internet professionals around the world.”
“Frankfurt serves as an important international hub for connectivity, and complements the efforts and vision we have for Telecom Exchange,” adds Ilissa Miller, Managing Partner of Jaymie Scotto & Associates. “We are excited to further enable more networking and industry growth for carriers, ISPs and relevant data center and colocation operators across the Atlantic and beyond.”
The success of the ‘equal networking opportunities’ event format was evident at this year’s Telecom Exchange, which attracted over 450 attendees, 100 exhibiting companies and 71 sponsors from around the world. The next Telecom Exchange will be held June 27, 2012 at Cipriani’s Wall Street in New York City. For more information, please visit www.thetelecomexchange.com.
