New fuel from old straw

Straw that farmers would normally leave to rot or simply burn is now being turned into second-generation biofuels.

At the landmark Inbicon plant in Kalundborg, Denmark, Innovation magazine shows how the newest developments in enzyme and processing technology allow waste agricultural products to be turned into both fuel for cars and feedstock for coal fired power stations.
