Available now from MicroPower Direct, the LDF24E series is a
family of low cost, DC/DC LED drivers specifically designed to power/control
high brightness LEDs. These units feature a constant current output; analog
& PWM dimming; control and efficiency to 96%. As part of our “Cost Cutter”
family of products they are offered at very low cost.
Five models operate from a very wide input voltage range and
provide constant current outputs of 300 mA, 350 mA, 500 mA, 600 mA or 700 mA.
Their step down DC/DC design allows them to drive LED strings up to 36 VDC.
Standard features include efficiency to 96%, short circuit protection, and
separate analog & PWM dimming control inputs. The MTBF (per MIL HDBK 217F)
of the LDF24E series is greater than 2.0 Mhours.
All models of the LDF24E family are packaged in a miniature
SMT package. The 300 and 350 mA models are specified for operation over the
industrial operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C ambient with no
derating or heat sinking required (other models are specified to +71°C).
Cooling is by free-air convection.
