In a Down Quarter, AOL Sees a Bright Spot in Display Ads
AOL reported another quarter of declining advertising and subscription revenue on Wednesday, pushing down profit as the company tries to turn itself into an online media conglomerate.
Total revenue at AOL fell 17 percent to $551.4 million. Analysts on average expected revenue of $536.4 million, according to Thomson Reuters. Overall advertising revenue fell 11 percent to $313.7 million on declines in search and third-party network advertising.
