Event: Chilean President Piñera to visit OECD - Thursday 21 October OECD headquarters, Paris

The President of Chile, Sebastián Piñera, will meet with OECD Secretary-General Angel Gurría and  address the OECD Council on Thursday 21 October. This is the President’s first  visit to the OECD since  Chile joined the organisation in May.

President Piñera, with his ministers of foreign affairs and of the economy as well as Chilean parliamentarians, will meet with the Secretary-General and OECD officials to discuss global economic issues and the Chilean policy reform agenda.

Journalists are invited to attend the following events:

9:00 – President Piñera and the Secretary-General sign the OECD livre d’or (photo opportunity)

10:00 – President Piñera addresses the OECD Council (photo op and audiovisual transmission of the President’s speech the OECD auditorium/press room).

10:40 – 10:55 – President Piñera and OECD Secretary-General Angel Gurría will hold a news conference in the OECD auditorium.
