Technical Sessions Cover the Latest in Motor Control and Drive Solutions
Featuring Avnet subject matter experts, this On-Ramp illustrates ways to accelerate product development cycle times. These sessions will detail the motor control and drive solutions available for smaller drives, including solenoids, DC or brushless DC and steppers; and for larger drives, such as AC-open loop (inverters) and closed loop (servo) systems that utilize much higher voltages – typically hundreds of volts. Products from TI’s C2000 real-time control, ultra-low power MSP430 and ARM Cortex-M3-based Stellaris microcontrollers will be featured.
“Our customers are looking for precision when controlling the position, torque and velocity of mechanical drives. This On-Ramp incorporates Avnet’s technical expertise with TI’s broad microcontroller portfolio to offer real-time solutions to the varying levels and complexities of power integration,” said Alex Iuorio, senior vice president of supplier management for Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas.
“TI is pleased to join in Avnet’s On-Ramp program with a session on motor control and drives, a market which TI addresses across its broad portfolio,” said Dave Wilson, motor control systems manager for the Microcontroller business, TI. “Supporting the needs of our customers is of paramount importance to TI, and we are excited to help ease the design process for motor control system manufacturers.”
Avnet On-Ramp Technical Sessions feature live presentations and demonstrations from Avnet technical experts at the customer's location.
