Final Agenda Announced for Upcoming DisplaySearch Event on Emerging Display Technologies

Santa Clara, Calif., July 29, 2010DisplaySearch today revealed the final agenda for its upcoming Emerging Display Technologies Conference: Innovative Technologies Drive Growth Opportunities, which will be held on August 19, 2010 in San Jose, California. Kicking off this years conference, two prestigious keynotes will be delivered by Brian Berkeley, Vice President of Engineering, Samsung Mobile Display Technology and Phil McKinney, Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Personal Systems Group, Hewlett-Packard.

The keynote speakers for this years Emerging Display Technologies Conference represent leading innovators of display technologies and applications. Samsung Mobile Display has been a leading innovator of LCD and OLED technologies, and HP has been developing a variety of emerging display technologies, from touch screens for PCs and public displays to pocket projectors, notes Paul Semenza, Senior Vice President of DisplaySearch. OLED Technology for Mobile, TV, and Future Applications by Brian Berkeley, Vice President, Samsung Mobile Display Technologies

Brian Berkeley will provide an update on the status of Samsungs current OLED display developments, as well as offer perspective on scale-up requirements to enable high volume large size OLED TV. He will also cover other applications for OLED technology, including transparent, flexible, paper thin, and robust displays.

3D, Touch and the Future of Display Technologies by Phil McKinney, Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Personal Systems Group, Hewlett-Packard

Awe-inspiring advancements in 3D and touch are pushing us toward new ways of consuming and interacting with digital content. In his keynote, Phil McKinney will explore the power of touch and how it is changing the way we interact with displays, including the emergence of touch dialects and multi-modal display interaction. In addition, McKinney will share his vision for the future of 3D and immersive displays and the challenges that come with scale and interaction.
