Britain suspends home information pack data plan which helps MDA revenues

Fri, 05/21/2010 - 4:30am

MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (TSX:MDA), a provider of specialized real estate data and other information, says the British government has announced the immediate suspension of the Home Information Pack, which had been required until now when a homeowner put his house up for sale in the United Kingdom.

The move is expected to affect the Canadian company's revenues.

MDA said that obtaining a Home Information Pack will no longer be mandatory when a home owner in Britain decides to put his or her home on the market.

"The company has anticipated this announcement for many months and the plan prepared during this period has now been activated," MDA said in a release.
