TeleCommunication gets $7.1 million for system
TeleCommunication Systems Inc. said Friday it received $7.1 million in additional funding from the U.S. Army for maintenance of communications equipment.
The company said it would work on secured and unsecured satellite communications systems outside the United States. The award is part of an Army equipment-management program announced in 2008.
Shares rose 7 cents to $7.53 in afternoon trading.
