NASA signs $57M extension with Computer Sciences

MOFFETT FIELD, Calif. (AP) — NASA will extend by one year its contract with Computer Sciences Corp. for $57 million.

The agency announced Monday it is exercising its extension option.

Computer Sciences Corp. in Lanham, Md. will provide supercomputing support services at NASA's Ames Research Center at Moffett Field.

The option begins Thursday and runs through March 31, 2011.

The contract has a two-year base period and eight one-year priced options. It has a maximum value of about $597 million if all options are exercised.
