Former Goldleaf CFO charged in embezzlement
A former chief financial officer of the Technology Division of Goldleaf Financial Solutions Inc. is accused of embezzling more than $166,000 from the company.
Fifty-eight year old Ruey Ann Gordon of Brentwood was charged in federal court on Thursday with money laundering.
According to a news release from the U.S. Attorney's office in Nashville, Gordon had the authority to create and approve transactions over an electronic network used to process credit and debit payments. She is accused of creating a series of fraudulent transactions for her own benefit over two years and then hiding those transactions by creating false entries in Goldleaf's accounting system.
If convicted, she faces up to 10 years in prison.
