The Microsoft Web Platform gives web professionals the framework, web server, database, and tools to build and run websites and applications on Windows. Windows Server 2008 with IIS 7.0 provides an open platform for hosting PHP applications from a single server. With optimized IIS support for both .NET and PHP, as well as native support for SQL, developers are discovering that the Microsoft Web Platform is more flexible and performs better than alternative platforms.

"NaviSite continues to be one of the leading U.S. hosting companies participating in the Microsoft WebsiteSpark program," said John Zanni, general manager of Worldwide Hosting at Microsoft. "NaviSite's combination of strong service and deep expertise with both open source and Microsoft technologies make it an excellent collaborator for Web pros looking to build stronger, more technically advanced Windows Web solutions."
