SeaChange International has hired cable vet Ed Dunbar as president and chief operating officer, a new position carved out of the portfolio of Bill Styslinger, the company’s founder, who remains CEO and chairman of the board.

Since 2007, Dunbar had been area vice president of Comcast and general manager of cable systems in Comcast’s Atlanta region. Prior to that, Dunbar had served five years as vice president of Comcast Spotlight, the operator’s national advertising operation.
Dunbar also worked as a corporate vice president for MediaOne, and as vice president and general manager of CAMA (Cable Advertising of Metro Atlanta). Previously, he was regional vice president of Wometco Cable Television (Atlanta).
Dunbar has served as an officer and director and on numerous advisory committees for organizations including the Cable Advertising Bureau, the Georgia Cable TV Association, the Southern Cable Association, The Atlanta Educational Television Corp. (PBS) and various other civic organizations.
He has served on the boards of Vehix.com, Adlink, National Cable Communications, the South Florida Interconnect and Twin Cities Interconnect.
