Number 0x0D: Who, in the late ‘70s correctly predicted that by the turn of the century, it would be possible to use our computers to find the answer to any question?

Why, Jerry Pournell, of course.

He wrote it in his column "Chaos Manor" in the very late 1970's. That was always one of my favorite parts of the magazine. For the bonus: he named his computer "Golem." I need to dig through my archives a bit though. Wikipedia states that he didn't name his Byte Magazine column "Chaos Manor" until 1982. My recollection is 1979. In any case, it's somewhere around that time frame.
