Keyboards are one of those objects that get incredibly dirty but are also really annoying/impossible to clean. So, whether it’s your kid’s sticky fingers or your mom’s habit of spilling tea (sorry, Mom), it might be time to check out the Logitech Washable Keyboard K310.
Logitech is known for their functional keyboards, which have included a solar-powered keyboard and a roll-up for tablets.
Let’s start with the keys, which are laser-printed and UV coated so they won’t wash (or rub) away and made using Rubberdome key technology. The company has made some pretty solid products in the past; this one is just a little more rugged.
The body can be wiped with a damp rag or dunked in up to 11 inches of water, depending on the level of damage. You can use a mild soap on it and it can stand up to 24 hours at 25 degrees C or 36 wash cycles of 5 minutes at 50 degrees C.
The water drains through holes in the back of the board and everything in it is designed to dry quickly.
Obviously, you can’t stick it in the dishwasher, but it’s still a huge improvement over old-school—melts like the Wicked Witch of the West if touched by water—keyboards.
Installation is easy — just a simple USB hookup and this model is compatible with most Windows PCs.
