Radio is a tough business. Everybody wants assurances that something “will work” while not defining what “works” means. When pressed, most people will say something like: “well when I send data here it always comes out there.” Really? To borrow from Fiona Apple, “always is a promise, and I can’t afford to lie…” The language you use to describe acceptable product performance is critical regardless of the technologies involved.
