Week number two of the SolidWorks 2012 Road Show continues this week in the Northwest US. After a short weekend at home, I'm leaving today for Seattle. Washington and three events this week.
Tuesday, October 11th - Seattle, Washington
Hawk Ridge Systems
Seattle is home to the original SolidWorks User Group - SASPUG - founded in 1996. Currently lead by Tony Valenzuela (with an assist or two from Jeff Mirisola), the group has been serving SolidWorks users for a long time. I won't be presenting at the Hawk Ridge Systems event, I'll just be there to mingle with SolidWorks users and watch the show.
Wednesday, October 12th - Yakima, Washington
This will be my second trip to Yakima and I'm hoping for a nice drive through the mountains on Wednesday morning. I was disappointed to hear that John Walden, leader of the Yakima SolidWorks User Group, will not be in attendance at the Quest event. Turns out he'll be in Hawaii this week. Oh well John - I'll see you in San Diego.
Thursday, October 13th - Beavertown, Oregon
Shounco Design Studios
How cool will it be to watch a SolidWorks 2012 What's New session at a movie theater? SolidWorks on the big screen - I can't wait. I haven't been in the Portland area for quite some time, but I'm looking forward to being here and possibly running into some old friends from The Portland SolidWorks User Group.
Another week of airplanes, hotels rooms, and rental cars, but well worth it. After racking up 1300 miles last week in the Midwest, the estimated 700 miles I'll drive this week will seem like a quick errand to the local convenience store. Ooh...and seafood....
