PCIM Europe 2011 is heading for a new record: more than 270 exhibitors occupying 13,300 square meters of exhibition space are expected at the leading international conference and exhitbion for power electronics, intelligent motion and power quality in Nuremberg from 17 – 19 May.

50 exhibitor presentations will be held over the 3 days at the forum in the exhibition hall, with topics ranging from new IGBTs to aluminum graphite and digital POL solutions. Each day the trade magazine E&E will host on its “Red Couch” VIP interviews with leading industry figures. Interviews with Semikron and Infineon are among those already confirmed.

With more than 200 previously unpublished papers, the conference is also growing. Applications such as e-mobility, wind energy, solar energy and new energy storage concepts will be covered in numerous sessions. The conference highlights include keynote speeches addressing the current megatrends e-mobility (Renault), smart grids (ABB) and energy efficiency (Slobodan Cuk). A special session and a round table highlight the trends in the development of key components and systems. Ten tutorials complete the conference program.
