Jersey Barrier Today, Turbine Tomorrow
Op-Ed: Traffic here in New Jersey (home of the ECN main office) may soon improve ... or at least it may soon improve the environment. How so? By putting wind turbines inside our infamous Jersey barriers, although nobody actually calls them by that name here. The idea is that wind from passing cars (read: speeding gubernatorial SUVs) can spin the turbines, thereby harnessing energy. It's actually clever, but what do you expect (insert your own joke here) from the home state of Thomas Edison? Story's at Metropolismag.com.
