These two chassis incorporate the MAC Panel SCOUT receivers which offer a high performance method to connect test system resources to a mass interconnect receiver, minimizing the need for cable assemblies. The GX73x2-MP incorporates a 20-slot 3U PXI chassis that can accommodate up to 19 instruments as well as an embedded PXI controller or a PXI bus expander interface such as the GX7990 or MXI-4.

High Density SDHC Cards

October 30, 2007 7:18 am | Product Releases | Comments

Toshiba Corp. announced three SD high capacity (SDHC)1 cards: a 32-gigabyte2 memory card, a 16 GB SDHC card and an 8 GB microSDHC card. All of the cards meet the class 4 specification in the SD speed class, enabling them to deliver high level performance and functionality essential for advanced mobile phones and other personal digital products.

Modular and Standalone USB Modems

October 30, 2007 7:15 am | Product Releases | Comments

Radicom Research, Inc. introduced a line of USB hardware modems in modular and standalone configurations. The modems process data using their own hardware, and they do not use any processing power of the host computer. These modems are CDC-compliant, and they are supported by Microsoft CDC modem drivers and Linux CDC-ACM drivers. They work with Linux, Windows and Mac operating systems.

USB to RS-232/RS-485 Converter

October 30, 2007 7:09 am | Product Releases | Comments

OTEK Corp. announced its USB converter that allows the interface of any RS-232 or -485 equipment with any USB port without the need for an external power supply. The USB draws its power from the USB port and since the connectors match any existing PC DB9, the USB plugs to the DB9 on the existing equipment, requiring one cable (type A to type B) for the USB end. For RS-485, the USB comes with a screw terminal connector.
