DT62-80W-CTDK-Lambda has released a new range of AC-DC external power supplies with models rated from 62 to 80 watts that are EISA and CEC Level IV and V compliant. The DT62-C & DT80-C series operate with a universal AC input of 90 to 264Vac (47-63Hz). The DT80-C models include PFC. Typical operating efficiencies are greater than 85%. Available output voltages include 9V, 12V, 15V, 18V and 24V.

These external power supplies are packaged in compact, insulated and lightweight enclosures that measure 2.71” wide by 5.2” long by only 1.57” high and are convection cooled (no fans needed). The operating temperature range is 0 to +40°C at full load (derate linearly to 50% load at 60°C). All models are fully isolated (3kVac, input to output) and units from 12V through 24V are California Energy Commission (CEC) and Energy Independence Act of 2007 (EISA) Level IV compliant. Plus, some models with output voltages of 15V, 18V and 24V are EISA and CEC Level V compliant.

These energy-saving supplies include overvoltage and short-circuit protections and the Off/No-Load standby-power-consumption is less than 0.50 watt, as required by the green energy initiatives. In addition, these supplies include UL/EN/IEC60950-1 international safety agency certifications and meet EN55022-B and FCC Class B conducted and radiated EMI standards.

Moreover, these external power supplies feature a recessed IEC320-C14 AC input receptacle and a 3.4 foot long output cable with a molded 4-pin connector. Other output cable lengths and connector types can be special ordered. These 60-80W supplies are ideal forpowering IT equipment for communications, instrumentation, industrial and general purpose applications.

The DT60-C and DT80-C series are available now and priced from $24.00 each in quantities of 1000 units. For more information, call TDK-Lambda directly at 1-800-LAMBDA-4 or download the product datasheets from: http://www.us.tdk-lambda.com/lp/products/dt-c-series.htm

The D&D bracer is a fairly quick, fun, nerdy LilyPad project. The final product is a wearable bracer with a display that will randomly generate numbers between 1 and 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 20, or 100 in response to arm movement, so it can effectively replace all of the dice in your bag for a D&D session.

Sustainable?
Sustainable?

I'd like some genius to define sustainable. Could we count something that we can keep doing for 100 billion years - beyond the death of the Universe as we currently understand such things - as sustainable? How about a billion years?
