G4_Captive_7.5_linear_actuatorHaydon Kerk Motion Solutions, Inc, a leading manufacturer of precision linear motion products, introduces the high resolution 19000 series captive linear actuator. This new 20mm diameter can-stack has a 7.5 degree step angle resulting in smaller move increments and finer positioning ability.

The Haydon High Resolution 19000 Series is a high output, compact linear actuator ideal for precision motion applications requiring a small footprint. The 7.5 degree 19000 easily outperforms all other offerings of similar size in the marketplace today in force output, dependability, and positioning resolution.

The 19000 Series high resolution linear actuator is the newest addition to a larger family of 4th generation high output linear actuators designed and built with performance and durability in mind. Technical enhancements include optimized stator tooth geometry, high energy neodymium magnets, custom engineered plastics, and larger ball bearings for greater rotor support for maintaining accuracy and repeatability over a long life.
The high output can-stack line provides exceptionally high force-to-size ratios and is ideal for a variety of applications including precision medical equipment, scientific instrumentation, scanning devices, printing equipment, advanced optics, and other mechanisms requiring high force in a small package size.

For more information on the entire line of Haydon linear actuators, visit Haydon Kerk at www.HaydonKerk.com.

The D&D bracer is a fairly quick, fun, nerdy LilyPad project. The final product is a wearable bracer with a display that will randomly generate numbers between 1 and 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 20, or 100 in response to arm movement, so it can effectively replace all of the dice in your bag for a D&D session.

Sustainable?
Sustainable?

I'd like some genius to define sustainable. Could we count something that we can keep doing for 100 billion years - beyond the death of the Universe as we currently understand such things - as sustainable? How about a billion years?
