Prem Magnetics has recently introduced several series of common-mode chokes for reducing unwanted common-mode noise signals on a power line. Comprising a total of 128 parts utilizing 7 different mounting packages, the SPCM series covers inductance values ranging from 65.0uHy to 120mHy and current values ranging from 0.3ADC to 30Arms.

All of these common mode chokes utilize toroidal core construction that offers a small size and reduced EMI. Mounting styles are printed circuit board mount incorporating either through-hole or surface mount technology (SMT). Component orientation is configured for reduced height or reduced board real estate. Many of these chokes incorporate a winding separation spacer that provides 1 – 3 mm creepage distance for safety agency compliance, and all units use UL94V0 materials.

Package dimensions for these Series range from 14.5mm square x 10.8mm Ht. to 40mm x 40mm x 19mm Ht. These components can be viewed on Prem’s web site at www.premmagnetics.com. Pricing ranges from $1.39 to $5.67 in production quantities.

The D&D bracer is a fairly quick, fun, nerdy LilyPad project. The final product is a wearable bracer with a display that will randomly generate numbers between 1 and 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 20, or 100 in response to arm movement, so it can effectively replace all of the dice in your bag for a D&D session.

Sustainable?
Sustainable?

I'd like some genius to define sustainable. Could we count something that we can keep doing for 100 billion years - beyond the death of the Universe as we currently understand such things - as sustainable? How about a billion years?
